“Great tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

This was so nice. you go into the incubator room and see an actual baby ostrich in there. The guide tells you about the leather, feathers etc - all very interesting. Then the tour on the farm is also very fun.
The shop is a bit expensive. I can understand the leather to be expensive but the egg shells were a bit ridiculously priced. I would have felt happy to pay R300 for one but they were priced at R450 up.

Thank you for your review ! I am glad you enjoyed the farm experience and found the tour informative. We stock a vast range of painted and decoupaged ostrich eggs with a variety of designs and finishes. The price for the eggs depends on how intricate the designs are and can be from R90.00 to R600.00. Thank you for your visit and feedback.

“Great family entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

This was such a great surprise. I was expecting something a bit kitch and touristy, but it was fun. Its really well organised and well thought through to keep people entertained. I think the key was the guide. He was a young tall guy who really knew his stuff. I think he was Afrikaans speaking. But he was bright, friendly and really interesting. The whole family had a great time.

The cafeteria food was pretty grim, but you cant have everything!

“ostrich farm oudtshoorn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

the ostrich farm was a very cool place and a wicked experience.
when you get to know this special animal you learn to apreciate it.
the tour in the farm starts at the incubator, where you see the babies and the ones that just hatched. you get to feed the grown ups and kiss them (option...hahaha) and above all you get to ride them. the price is fair and the tour lasts an hour.

“Average experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Interesting but spoilt by the staccato delivery of our tour guide who sounded like who was commentating on a horse race by the end, faster and faster. Food was uninspiring minute sald to share and tough ostrich steak. Flies abound were animals are and dung only our party member riding the ostrich made it worthwhile.

Thank you for your review ! I am sincerely sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations ! If I was made aware of the fact that you had a tough Steak and an average tour I would have tried my best to remedy it for you. I can only hope you will be visiting Oudtshoorn again sometime in the future and we can get another chance to wow you with our ostrich experience. Thank you for your visit and feedback.
