We stayed in the Ostrich Unit for three nights and had the most fantastic time. The unit had three bedrooms and bathrooms and was full of lovely colonial furniture, perfectly clean, lovely linen and towels, fridge, complimentary port and water and everything else you could ask for. The infinity style pool must have the best view in the world and the breakfasts were the biggest and best we have ever had - sat on a pleasant terrace with a magnificent view. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts, Kobus and Elmare - they were so genuine and warm. The location was perfect, incredible views in all directions, peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Oudtshoorn and the surrounding attractions to be easily accessible. We will definitely be revisiting! It was also lovely to see a "proper" ostrich farm, where the birds are bred and raised with respect - no commercial battery style operation here which appears to be common at other farms. No negatives at all - but one point worth being aware of - the Ostrich unit didn't have air con - think the other units did - it was hot when we were there but the unit still remained pretty cool inside and there were ceiling fans too.
