We stayed 1 night at the Old Cape Road in July. It was off-season and I think we were the only guests. We were given a georgeous room with a jacuzzi bath, sitting area, private balcony for about 320 rands per night, which was really steal. There was no breakfast offered due to off-season, but we had a fridge in our room and ate in the little sitting area. The owners were very nice and parking was safe and on-site. We felt it was a little too far to walk into town at night (day would've been OK). The only negative thing was the traffic noise. We weren't disturbed while sleeping, but during day and when sitting on balcony was quite loud. This will likely be true for any of the several inns or bed/breakfasts which line the road behind the lagoon.
