“Lovely once you're there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

We thought this would be a nice day trip and it definitely ticked that box. I wasn't a big fan of the 'guided' part of this and I would have preferred it if we had just hopped a lift over to the reserve and then gone exploring by ourselves.

It felt a bit constrained and sanitized - especially when everyone was loaded into this giant gas guzzling vehicle to drive us to the top. This turned out to be quite a short distance which I would happily have walked.

The reserve is beautiful and the waters that enter the bay are stunning. The buffet was pretty good too.

“A Must-do when in Knysa!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The whole package of the lagoon crossing to the Nature reserve, followed by the trailer ride up to the top of the western head, the optional walk down through the reserve, with a detour into a cave, arriving back at the restaurant, will have one's spirit soaring at the magnificence of the surroundings. Breathtakingly beautiful views of the rugged coastline, this is a unique experience.

“A MUST”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

This is a fabulous trip. Take the ferry to featherbed. I recommend the short hike (wear slops or takkies as you do walk over rocks) and the lunch option - lunch under the milkwoods is a perfect way to end off the experience. Wear suncream!

“Nice boat trip and walk on nature reserve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

If you stay at knysna, you should do a boat trip and guided walk on this nature reserve. Its a nice half day tour, you have nice views during the boat trip on the lagoon and a beautiful walk with stunning views at the nature reserve.
