We were supposed to spend one night in Knysna in our driving on the Garden Route, but we decided to stay here one more night because we liked so much the place! Every room is like a real hut, very cosy and tastefully furnished, in the wonderful garden that makes you feel in the jungle. The owners are very friendly and gave us lots of tips about restaurants, places to see and things to do. The location is ideal, at walking distance from the nice waterfront of this wonderful town, and the breakfast is excellent. In a few words, the stay in this lodge is something that shouldn't be missed if you have a holiday on the Garden Route.

Room Tip: Both the rooms we saw were gorgeous, every room has its own character and setting, one couldn't...

Really original, clean and comfortable rooms in a fantastic location, close to restaurants and shops. Owners were very friendly and offered loads of helpful advice / suggestions about possible trips and excursions. We folllowed their suggestions of outings and restaurants almost to the letter and had a fantastic time. Were here for a week and found it the perfect base for exploring the area.

We stayed here as a stop while travelling the garden route, and wished we had stayed here longer instead of moving on. Owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was spacious. Location is very central in Knysna and easy to walk to the waterfront. We would happily return and definitely hope to!

Great place to "go back into the jungle" with the rainforest motif decor sprinkled with a bit of fun, e.g. stained glass church windows, or claw-footed bath tub. Each room is a unique combination of jungle hut, church gothic, and children's playhouse. Wonderful. Most of all, very clean.

The couple who own the place are very friendly and helpful. He offered us three or four restaurant selections and then secured us a very late reservation at a local restaurant when we got delayed.

Their breakfast includes both cold food: fruits, cereals, cheeses and hot dishes: scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc.

Bottom line: fun and funky...a wonderful break from the normal chain hotel.

Room Tip: Entire B&B is on a small hillside--people who have a bit of trouble climbing up relatively shall...

This must be the most surprising place to stay on the Garden Route - a home for hobbits in the middle of Knysna. Close the curtains (that overlook the car park next door) and you could believe yourself in the African wilderness. Our hosts are welcoming and hospitable, with good recommendations for eating locally, and breakfasts are delicious. Highly recommend this accommodation.
