“SEAFOOD HAVEN IN KNYSNA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

The restaurant is supplied by the Fishmonger of the same name at the same site so a plentiful supply of fresh fish, and this was a good omen for what turned out to be a veritable feast of fish

There was 4 of us, 2 had the seafood platter 1 on the barbeque and 1 grilled ,giant prawns, hake, gurnard, calamari tubes, and mussels, plus seafood rice.1 had the same platter but grilled and I had baby calamari tubes and seafood rice, superb the rice had in it prawns, mussels, squid. Our final member of the group had large Mozambique prawns and chips.

All our dishes were excellent, everything was beautifully cooked the barbecued platters probably had the edge.

Service was excellent our Waiter was Robin, very knowledgeable, entertaining which added to the atmosphere, and most important he was very efficient

The restaurant gives the feel of a beach bar/restaurant and helps create a perfect atmosphere

Finally it is excellent value for money

“The simple things in life are best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014 via mobile

The best product combined with the simplest form of cooking equals a very unique and delicious experience.
Our meal at the Freshline Fisheries was quite simply the best we had in Knysna. Our waiter, Robin, was top notch & the quality of the food was unreal. Just cannot wait to get back to this unusual but truly magnificent
restaurant.
PS make sure you bring your our wine as no wine sales available.

“The best fish and chips”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

This restaurant located up a back street near a refuse transfer station could not rely on passing trade. But it is always packed out and the reason is simple - really fresh line caught fish cooked to perfection at reasonable prices. We had kingklip which was lightly grilled with pepper and lemon and it was excellent. We will be back again and again (provided we can remember to book!)

“Friendly Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

Lovely setting and fantastic service from our waiter for the evening Robin. Great value for money and very tasty food. Bringing your own wine with no corkage charge and being supplied with glasses and an ice bucket is a bonus.
