Nice old house converted into a restaurant. We very much enjoyed our meal and meeting Peter the chef who provided the history of his family and business. A blackboard menu which had a variety of choices demands you come back again to try your other favourites. The cheese soufflé and kidneys were excellent and coming from Australia, the prawns were grilled to perfection. An excellent wine list and we were ably assisted by Viv to find the extra special "Mr Cab Sav". The staff, some of whom have been with Peter and Viv many years provide excellent service. We much regret not having room for the bread and butter pudding !
