Paradise House was a two night stopover for us on our self drive tour of the garden route
which, in itself, was so enjoyable we could have easily stayed another two nights.
I know we`ve heard it all before but Johan and Zita really were the most friendly and helpfull hosts you could wish to meet, making us feel most welcome in their home with,
when asked for, advice on where to go- what to do-and where to eat- particularly regarding the Knysna waterfront itself. Johan even checked my car tyre pressure on hearing my concren about a previous days puncture repair.
The accommodation at Paradise House was superb, being very comfortable- clean- and well appointed and not requiring to pass through our hosts private living quarters to gain access to our rooms - where the private balcony afforded stunning views of the Knysna
Lagoon and adjacent headlands. Waking up to such views followed by a substantial
breakfast really set you up for the day.
The Waterfront - with its variety of shopping, fine restaurants, and frequent boat trips is literally minutes away ,there being a petrol garage similarly as close also.
We particularly enjoyed the comfort of our room, and the private balcony with its
"magnificent"view. My wife ,however, refused to drive our hire car up the steep driveway,
although I didn`t find it a problem.
