We turned up at the door to see if there was a room at Kynsna Country House, which was clearly a surprise to Erik. It is sufficiently far off the beaten track that few people turn up on spec. The area is quiet but the downside of the location is that one must drive to get to a restaurant or into town. Even for those happy to walk, it is a long way from anywhere. We booked in for one night but decided to stay for two.
We were offered a large, comfortable room which opened onto a courtyard shared with two other rooms. There was no noise from adjacent rooms but some noise from the corridor in the morning.
Erik,Ypipe and the dogs were very welcoming and advised on eating options. Breakfast was good as we had come to expect in SA B&Bs.
Niggles are that the blind was broken and we fixed it and, as mentioned by others, the dogs. We feel that it is somewhat unprofessional to allow dogs to beg for food at breakfast. Otherwise, it was a good stay.
