We ate at The Olive Tree twice during our three day stay in Knysna. Firstly, you must book in advance, preferably with a couple of day's notice.
The menu is written on a large chalkboard which is wheeled from table to table by the owner. She takes great pride in talking guests through the menu and it is clear she is passionate about food and her restaurant. Generally, there are about five or six starters and eight or nine mains to choose from.
We couldn't fault any aspect of our experience from the service of the attentive staff to the quality and presentation of the food.
The Olive Tree is a gem and a real highlight of our month in South Africa.
