The Auberge Provence ticks all the boxes really: first class accomodation; friendly, attentive and professional service from Belinda and her team and a great location. They certainly care about what they do here - the place was spotless with great attention to detail. We stayed in the Lavender suite - spacious and very comfortable. Definitely five star.

The location is good too - far enough from the town centre for peace and quiet yet easily close enough to stroll into town in daylight (this is SA - you don't walk after dark!) and just a few minutes cab ride home.

Meditterea is probably the best retaurant in town and highly recommended.

This B & B defines what a boutique establishment should be! Five star yes, but with the personal attention one hopes for when visiting a friend! The central but peaceful location is just a short stroll from the center of Hermanus. The walks along the cliffs beckon and the views are spectacular. The spacious rooms-really suites-invite as long a stay as possible. Breakfast was elegant and beautifully presented. This was our seond visit- we look forward to our third!

Staying at Auberge Provence was a very relaxing vacation. The location of the guest house is right on the sea front for whale watching. The guest house was very charming and staff were very warm and welcoming, makes you feel at home. We arrived in the morning and they served us a fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit and juices and homemade pastries then with egg, sausage and bacon. It was one of the best breakfast I've ever had. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a lot of personal touches to them. The outside pool area was fantastic with beds and a nice sitting area with creepers draping down. Unfortunitly I wasn't there around the whale watching season, so I will definitely like to go back again.

I loved it there! The view was amazing. We woke up in the morning and the first thing we saw was the ocean. I do not usually eat breakfast, but the breakfast there was so good and so beautifully presented that I could not resist. I actually think if it were not for that breakfast, I would not have gotten out of that bed. It had to be the most comfortable bed in all of South Africa. They will being seeing us again!

A delightful bed and breakfast option in Hermanus. Styled in Provence fashion, the rooms are set around a cool courtyard with pool and loungers. Beautifully appointed bedrooms (the ones in front have the views) and public rooms with lovely individual touches such as lavender on your pillow at night. The setting could not be bettered: right on the cliffs overlooking Walker Bay and frolicking whales, and a pleasant 15 minute walk along the coastal path to the town centre. Breakfast is excellent. Belinda the manager always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Trust her for restaurant recommendations - she knows what she is talking about!

We spent 2 nigths in the auberge Provence and it was clearly one of the best B&B we have ever been.

The setting and location is fabulous, directly on the beach front with a wonderful path to walk. The Building is absolutely top, has a lot of style. The room we had is very comfortable, has a great view and the bathroom is superb.

Staff and management is excellent, they really want to serve you!
