I was relatively neutral about the location ... there's nothing wrong with it but I wasn't bowled over and I felt it likely that some of Hermanus' other B&B's may have offered more value for money.
Saying that, the service was very good as was the location right by the cliffs.

We stayed 1 night in Whale Cottage Hermanus in September. The property was very clean, with great views from our room. It wasn't particularly convienient ( you have to drive into the town centre). Breakfast was OK - nothing hot and bread not that fresh, but fine. For the price we stayed in much more comfortable B&B's throughout SA than this, buit don't be put off, there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not great.

We had a great time in South Africa over X-Mas and New Year. Our stays at the Whale Cottages in Hermanus, Camps Bay and Franschhoek were certainly contributing to the great success of our trip. Even, we are thinking about going there again next year!

Having holidayed at Whale Cottage Camps Bay a number of times my husband and I thought we should share our support on our recent trip to the Cape. We stayed at Whale Cottage in Hermanus. We had a simply marvelous time. Camps Bay, having set a very high standard, ordinarily couldn't be bettered but the Hermanus 'Cottage' lived up to expectations. Clean, comfortable, affordable and the staff kind considerate and extremely helpful. Thank you. We WILL be back.
