What a warm welcome from Nikki after a long days drive. I was shown to the Emperor Bedroom, tastefully decorated, clean and airy, with an adjoining balcony overlooking the pool with the sea in the distance. After a refreshing dip in the pool I set off on the coastal path for a scenic walk into town. Imagine my delight at spotting Southern Right Whales and their calves within a few minutes of setting off. Great local restaurants but it was the hospitality and attention to detail of my hosts Stefan and Nikki that made it an experience to remember. Pancakes at breakfast! A real treat - they'd heard my request for no eggs. Stefan is very knowledgeable of the local area and its history and offered some great advice when planning stops at the local vineyards as I continued my journey. Truly "Heaven on Earth".

I look forward to returning in future for a more extended visit. Thank you Stefan and Nikki

We stopped in Hermanus to break up the journey from Knysna to Cape Town. When we arrived at Penguino Guesthouse we were greeted by Stefan who welcomed us with a warm smile and made us feel at home before we had even stepped through the door! Our room was beautiful and very clean, we had tea and coffee making facilities in our room a long with a few other amenities which were a nice touch..Our en suite bathroom was clean and spacious. In the evening we had a lovely braai (bbq) and Stefan made home made bread in a brick oven infront of us whilst we relaxed with a nice glass of local wine which was one of the most unique and homely experiences we have ever had at a guesthouse. The ambiance was relaxed and we really felt at a home away from home. It was the perfect evening after a long journey. The location of Penguino is perfect, just minutes from the beach and the harbour. Penguino guesthouse is very tranquil. Breakast was amazing!. I had blueberry pancakes, absoultely delicious! The cooked breakfast was very generous and just sublime. We can't recommend Penguino GUesthouse enough. Stefan and Nikki are the most hospitable people, no request is too much, I had forgotten my adapter and Nikki had one to hand. We wish we could have stayed for longer, we're already planning our next trip to SA and Penguino for next year! You have to go and experience it for yourself. Everything was just perfect.
Thank you so much Stefan and Nikki, you made our stay unforgettable. Look forward to seeing you soon,
Love Ailsa & Chris

We were on a road trip through Southafrica for a month when coming to Hermanus and drove past the Penguino Guesthouse by chance! And we are so happy we stopped!
Our room was beautiful and comfortable and Stefan and Nikki are amazing hosts! We loved the breakfast special in the morning and we enjoyed listening to Stefan's stories! Also it's located very close to the town center and breathtaking cliffs. Everything about this place and the people in there is sweet and stunning and it makes it hard to leave!!! Thank you Stefan and Nikki, We will come back! Love, Nadia & Eddy
