We stayed at Flatrock Suites in the City Bowl area of Capetown. Very funky, very clean two bedroomed apartment - not too impressive from the street but very deceiving! Parking was very secure and guarded underneath the suites . A friendly welcome from our host when we arrived - the bottle of wine in the fridge and homemade biscuits were a great touch and he was very helpful in getting us info re tour of Robben Island. The suites are self-catering with a new kitchen, plasma TV ,DVD and new upmarket kitchen appliances.Beds and linen were divine! The view from the balcony of the mountain view apartment of Table Mountain was fantastic. Restaurants, bars and nightclubs are a stone's throw away- literally - in Long Street and a small supermarket is close by.A very central location for anyone without a car - taxis were waiting at the door . If you're a light sleeper the noise from the nightlife on the street below could hamper your sleeping but if you're a party animal this accomodation would be ideal!
