“Great weekend get-away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

My friend in Cape Town referred me to Boutique Manolo and we decided to stay here for 3 nights for a weekend away. Close to Long Street and bars and restaurants, and of course the style of the place was the reason of booking. The room looked much nicer than on the website and the host Peter and Sarah were so friendly... they booked restaurants and said what bars were the latest. We had a brilliant time and felt really spoilt. Will surely go back next time!

Room Tip: Try room 300 or 100 -whatever your budget allows!

We just stayed at Boutique Manolo for 4 nights and it was a pleasure to stay with Leen and Peter. They are the best hosts and can recommend the best restaurants and things to explore off the beaten track. Beautifully designed rooms with warm genuine service makes this one of the highlights we experienced in South Africa. We are considering returning for a longer period next time during the summer months. Location wise cannot be better – 10 minutes walk into the city centre, yet very quiet at the hotel. Thank you Peter and Leen for the wonderful experience!

We stayed In manolo after our safari trip in the east of the country. What a great place, and such super hosts. It's a very personal service, which is great. It's like a very luxurious and very well appointed B&B which is exactly what we were looking for. The hosts' knowledge of things was so useful, and they even got us a reservation at the test kitchen at short notice (usually 2-3 months waiting list). The rooms are luxurious and there's always everything you need and more (iPod dock, bottle openers, jelly beans, and books you would actually read) as well as all the things you would expect to find in hotels costing much more. The breakfasts were really good with all the food you could eat. We developed a taste for Peter's smoothies, which were our morning treat! If you're reading this, you should bottle them and sell them!

Upon reading the raving reviews on tripadvisor we decided to choose Manolo. We booked 4 nights in room 300 and paid 3 nights only... their winter special. When we arrived we got upgraded to room 400 which is about 3 times the size. wow, what a beautiful room, especially sinec thr weather was not that great, it was nice to have a larger room. The eye for details, the cozy living room with real fireplace and warm service, made this experience the best we had in South Africa. We cannot stop telling our friends about it, amnd hope to return some day when it is summer! Great location, great hosts and a place that looks better when you get there than the website tells...

Just returned after spending four nights here. Set in a quiet safe area, boutique Manolo is an ideal base. The place is perfect with excellent views os the mountain. But better tan the place are the host! Help all the time prior to travelling and during our stay. They love what they are doing and you can notice all the time. They organised the taxi pick ups, restaurant, excursión, food delivery!. Breakfst were marvellous!.They treat us as old friends.
The rooms were clean and serviced every day. Can't speak too highly of Peter, Leen, and Sarah and their B&B! It´s the best place we have ever stayed

Tips: Use the taxis that they recommend, the others can charge you more.
-Full day excursion to Cape Town and Peninsula is very nice.

We stayed at Boutique Manolo for 4 nights in Room 100 and 400. The location is in a central, safe, and beautiful neighbourhood in Cape Town. The property itself is very well maintained and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. Because it was winter, the central area always had a fire going in the evenings, and we enjoyed many glasses of wine by the fire. The bathrooms were very nice, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfasts were fresh, plentiful and delicious. The best part of Boutique Manolo, though, as you have certainly read, is the warmth of its hosts. Peter corresponded with us tirelessly before we arrived and helped us arrange many wonderful meals. They went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay in Cape Town. If you are visiting this city, you should stay at Manolo.

Room Tip: If 400 is available, it is spacious with great views!

Really wonderful place to stay in Cape Town. Great hosts, wonderful views, lovely breakfast and just a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Peter and Leen were so helpful and kind in their advice regarding things to do, restaurants, everything. They helped us plan perfect itineraries enabling us to make the most out of our first trip to cape town- really exemplary
Very tastefully decorated, modern and cosy with all the attention to detail making it a very personalised experience. Thanks for the lovely stay!
