We stayed at the Hippo for 5 nights in February and had a fantastic time. Rooms are very spacious and include a small kitchenette. They also have PC's with hi speed internet access and flat screen TV's with many channels available. Staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions, getting reservations, directions etc. Location can't be beat - in the Gardens right off Kloof street and within walking distance to many great restaurants. Hotel has secured off street parking and I would definitely recommend a rental car for a few days as there is so much to see outside of Capetown - winelands, False Bay, Cape of Good Hope etc.
