This is a small (4 rooms) B&B but the welcome you get is huge and the decor couldn't be bettered. We loved our rooms, scoffed the delicious breakfasts each morning, and collapsed on the enormous sofas each evening, making full use of the honour bar available. Andrew & Steffan are great hosts with execellent knowledge of the local restaurants and were able to arrange trips and taxis for us at the drop of a hat. Highly recommeded - we want to come back!

It's hard to describe how fantastic this place really is. The owners are amazingly friendly and helpful, giving great advice on any and all questions about Cape Town. The location is ideal - a quiet neighborhood just a quick drive to all the major sights. However, these accolades don't even compare to the actual property. There should be design awards given to the B&B - the furniture, decor and overall atmosphere is without comparison. It's one of the best places anywhere in the world.

A perfect hideaway and home away from home. We spent our Honeymoon in Cape Town recently and stayed at 18 on Crox. After searching for the ideal and initmate accomodations we chose 18 on Crox and couldn't have been more delighted.

We felt we were at home in a place new to our exploring adventures. From the minute we were greeted by Andrew and Stephan we knew we made the right choice.

We began each day fully relaxed, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, spent each day learning and living in Cape Town and the surrounding areas, later returning "home" to relax once again.

Andrew and Stephan and their staff''s attention to every detail was evident every single minute from the very first minute. Something we can attest does not happen even in five-star hotels.

Like us we know your search for an exclusive hideaway should now have ended and your plans on how to enjoy Cape Town have know begun. We can assure you, you have made the right choice.

Now go, relax, and enjoy yourselves.

You have to experience it to believe it. All credit to these guys - the place is immaculate, absolutely flawless. The interior design is gorgeous from the lounge through to the dining room, pool area and bedrooms. So much praise has been written already that I shall not repeat it - and actually I would not want to spoil some of the delightful suprises that await you if you stay here. Stephan and Andrew go above and beyond the call of duty for their guests. I wholeheartedly endorse their restaurant recommendations, which were invaluable. Without them kindly taking care of restaurant bookings and taxis, we would never have experienced the 'hidden gem' restaurants (hidden from tourists, at any rate) that Cape Town has to offer. Incidentally, I am not talking about paying top dollar for these restaurants either, they matched, or were cheaper than restuarants on the Waterfornt.
We stayed in the luxury room and in the standard room, both were outstanding in quality.
What can I say that is different to other reviews? Stephan and Andrew have hearts of gold, they are so incredibly kind, and this shines through in the sophisticated service they provide for their guests. You really do feel treasured when you stay there. The rooms are far bigger than the photos indicate btw. Breakfast is incredible. Location great. This place is perfect in every way.

“A Gem”

My husband and I stayed at 18 on Crox for 2 nights on the last leg of our holiday in South Africa. Mere words cannot do justice to this gem of a place. The minute you step into 18 on Crox, you feel as if you have wandered into someone’s very stylish and chic home. After being suitably awed by the lovely décor, be prepared to be spoilt by both Andrew and Stephan and enjoy their fantastic hospitality. Both of them went out of their way to make us feel so welcomed. When we returned from our dinner on the first night, there were flower petals scattered by the bed and some port and chocolates were left for us in the room! Why on earth would anyone want to stay in an “ordinary” hotel when you could be treated like royalty here? This place was an absolutely lovely end to our holiday in Cape Town and the only one regret we had was that the visit here was too short! We will definitely be back, because having set such a high standard in terms of service, there can be no other place for us in Cape Town except 18 on Crox.
