“Perfect place to stay in Cape Town”

Lovely boutique hotel. Our room was very comfortable, and all the staff were both charming and helpful. Communal lounge where hot drinks available all day. Breakfasts were excellent! Highly recommended!

I don't want to share this review, as I don't want to have to compete for rooms if I am fortunate to return to Cape Town! My daughter and I stayed here inJanuary and I returned in July with my husband and other daughter. It was like returning home! The same precious staff were there to greet me and provide all the special treats (my secret!). Antony is a fabulous host and Charle is equally welcoming and helpful. Want a great restaurant? Ask Antony. The breakfast is too good, and after an ample starter of quiches, fruit, smoothies, granola, crepes, the cooks ask you for your hot selection of eggs and bacon, etc. They actually look disappointment if you do not order more.
The guest house is beautifully set up with an intimate communal cafe/bar/living room and other several quaint sitting spots. My favorite guest house on all my travels!

Reviews I read were 100 per cent accurate regarding Blackheath Lodge in Capetown. It was such a pleasure to stay there. We had a large spacious room which opened to communal lounge and kitchen for making hot drinks......we didn't use this as the main relaxing lounge by reception was the place to be.
The tours we wanted to go on were willingly and helpfully reserved for us, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is included in the rate and is superb.
Blackheath is located 10 mins out of the CBD but transport not a problem as they have a taxi company always able to transport you.
Loved our stay and would happily return. Thank you Blackheath Lodge.

Room Tip: Just ask for large room.

My wife and I stayed for 10 days in June at this intimate B&B tucked away in a quiet but very accessible part of Cape Town. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and individual. The excellent breakfast was a fine start to each day. All of the staff were considerate, anticipated any need and made everyone feel valued and safe. This was a reflection of the respect with which they were treated by the owners/hosts. We particularly loved the option of a quiet space in a separate lounge to relax as well as a more social area to meet and chat with other guests. The artworks throughout were a delight. The recommendations for side trips on our outings were all excellent choices. As Antony said when we arrived we were "in for a treat" and we happily indulged.

The Blackheath Lodge was perfect for a single woman traveler who wanted to feel more like she was staying in someone's home than in a hotel. Anthony and his staff are marvelous--helpful, responsive and very gracious with an attention to detail that makes staying here special. They have suggestions for restaurants and activities. The breakfasts are delicious with hot and cold options. The wifi is robust. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, a short cab ride from the Waterfront. I hope to return to Cape Town and I would definitely stay at the Blackheath again.

After a long 20 hours of traveling, this was such a welcoming retreat. It is nestled on a quiet street with free parking for guests. The staff is so gracious and has excellent recommendations for sites to visit and restaurants to eat around town. This is not a large hotel, and the pool area is small, so it is perfect if you like boutique hotels.

The breakfast is delicious, and they have snacks available throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this place to others when visiting Cape Town.

My husband I traveled to Cape Town in June as part of a family trip around the continent with our (2) 20 something daughters. The staff at Blackheath Lodge was simply amazing. The Lodge is absolutely darling and the attention to detail shows at every glance. Very comfortable and extremely inviting the common areas are cozy and the rooms elegant, inviting and super comfortable. Love, love the modern spacious bathrooms. Anthony and his staff (Charle, Jean Claude, Peter and all the rest) go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is as memorable as possible. They delightedly took care of outings for our daughters while my hubby and I rented their fun, zippy red mini convertible for a day trip to the cape on our own. If I could live here I would! The breakfast is simply incredible with divine home made delicacies that change each day. We may just come back to Cape Town just to stay here and see what Antony and his team have been up to. Thank you so much for the wonderful care and kindness we received. Cheers to you all....The Zier Family
