It is so awesome being surrounded by all the birds and animals. Really feels like you are in a jungle. Totally worth it to visit World of birds.

“Amazing bird experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

World of birds in Hout Bay is a great day out for the whole family, we've personally been 3 times and I will keep going back to support this establishment. They do so much for injured birds and give us the opportunity to experience the animals in a very natural habitat.

“Great day out for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

We have been two years in a row and have really enjoyed the experience as a family. My kids love the birds and the monkeys are their highlight naturally! It's magical for a child and even an adult to sit and have little monkeys run across you and sit on your shoulder. The whole experience is watched carefully by staff so you don't feel in danger in any way. And yes the park is rundown but you hardly notice because the monkeys just capture your heart!

“World of BIrds Hout Bay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

...it is a world of birds with diverse species that is great learning centre and sanctuary for old and young alike to enjoy. The owls are my favourite. To be in such close proximity is a great experience.

Small mammals are a treat too and as I rememeber that given that this originated as a safe haven for injured / rejected animals make this all the more fantastic. There are meerkats, mongeese, foxes and so much more...

its a great learning experience for the grandparents, parents and grand children and its all within this peaceful haven set in Hout bay. Recommended.

Take sunhats, walking shoes, block out and water bottles. And then go for lunch down at one of the fish eateries on the waterfront ! fish and chips and on occasion whitebait ! yum!
