we arrived in the afternoon and took the free 90 minutes guided tour, although the volunteer guide could have gone on longer but we had to leave to drop off our hire car. As already said in other reviews, this is an outstanding site with indigenous species, beautifully laid out, and whilst it was the end of the summer so little colour, it was still worth while. There is a brail trail for the blind and an aroma walk. We wished we'd come early, brought a picnic, and spent the day there. The gift shop has some wonderful merchandise with painted fabric items ideal for gifts such as tea towels, aprons, table cloths and mats, all in vivid colours of flowers such as the proteas, lillies and bird of paradise. The trees, plants and flowers also attract the birds, particularly the sunbirds, and there are roaming guinea fowl and francolin. it is a real paradise.
