Boulders Beach is operated by the Parks Board and is a haven for the African penguins. You can walk along the wooden board which juts out of the beach sand and the penguins are right below you, close by. Yes they are a little smelly, but they are wildlife and do eat fish. You can also see many of them sitting on their nests. It's such a privilege to be able to observe these beautiful birds in their own habitat and not have to go see them in an aquarium or zoo. They might look cuddly but just remember their beaks are as sharp as razors. Not to forget the beach with is enormous granite boulders and view of the mountain is absolutely breathtaking as well.
