“Good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012 via mobile

A nicely located hotel with good walking access to many restaurants and a casual stroll. They are a bit outdated with their information on where tourists should go eat so I would say they need to do some homework. Some of the recommendations were poor. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly.

Great value for money, especially for couples. Excellent location which is within walking distance of great restaurants and bars but also close to the waterfront. The rooms are furnished well and have good sized bathrooms. The staff is friendly and breakfast a good spread.

The fritz is in a great spot, has loads of character and is very clean and staff a friendly and helpful.

We stayed 5 nights, no complaints, but didn't realize there was hot breakfast available until the 3rd day, but cold buffet is lovely anyway.

Room Tip: We stayed on first floor, rooms were quiet and we had glimpses of the mountain.

We stayed here in March for 3 nights and have to say we probably couldn't have got a better option in terms of value for money to stay in Cape Town. The hotel is run by Arthur, a very welcoming Swiss, who organised us a wonderful tour. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast includes everything you need. The hotel is in a quite of Kloof Street, which is a nice neighborhood with some shops and restaurant. Since Central Cape Town is relatively small, everything is within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

A beautiful little guesthouse in a
central location with lots of nightlife and restaurants near by. A lovely old house converted to rooms with antique mix and match furniture and squeaky wood floors. A comfy sitting room and small breakfast area on the first floor with friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful smorg breakfast every morning.

You wouldn't find a better *** Accommodation in Cape Town. It's centrally located in easy walking distance to Long Street. Some rooms offer a good view to the top of Table Mountain or Lyons Head.
The Hotel has nice Art Deco furniture. All rooms have a individual character, some with balcony. Nice breakfast buffet with fruits, cheese, meat, cereals, eggs... Fruits are available all day for free!
The Swiss owner Arthur, a former South Africa Red Cross Manager, just knows about everything, where to go, what to do, best restaurants.... He's got a little wine farm near Paarl. Ask him about the top South African wines and the top Golf Courses.
