“ON TOP OF THE WORLD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Book ticket in advance to avoid the queues. Go when weather is fine and take a jumper jacket; now you're set. Views are truly spectacular and forever. Consider a one way ticket as you can walk down (or up if energetic). Don't just linger at the top near the cable station as you can actually walk a considerable distance along the trails - couple of hours. The cable car floor slowly revolves so you get great panoramic views on the way up/down. Cost is cheap (Aust $22 return) and well worth it. An absolute must.

“Be prepared, It is COLD there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

I have not been there is a few years, but vividly remember how cold it was at the top of the mountain at night, early evening late summer. Walking Cape Town the Temp was a beautiful 75/78 or so and at the top of the mountain it was in the 50s and the wind was howling. A t-shirt won't cut it, you need a wind breaker at least. Yes it has great views but just be ready for that cold
