There are a good many fascinating exhibits in the aquarium, all well presented, with plenty of accompanying facts. Children well catered for with interactive exhibits.
Not a huge facility but an interesting way to spend a couple of hours. The tanks had some good information on the species in he area.
I did find this one of the best aquariums I've been in. I got the impression they do actually care about the inmates.
The tanks seem to be big enough for the inhabitants. All clean and well kept with a lot of good conservation information.
The aquarium is one of the biggest in SA, and boasts a massive tank with great white sharks (3), giant manta rays, ragga tooth sharks, turtles and lots of other fish. There is also a large seaweed garden and quite a few 'touch and learn' exhibits for the children. The penguin enclosure is always fun as well, and they always make me laugh. Definitely a must see attraction!
I'm not a grat fan of aquariums as a rule, as I believe that large animals such as Sharks etc should really be in their own environment, however, what is interesting is seeing the different species of jelly fish, anenome and sea horse - okay but not my favourite place.
