“Bustling harbour area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

With its spectacular setting and busy quayside, Hout Bay is a must on any Cape Town itinerary. Fish (of course) is the speciality in the popular, simple restaurants. Visit the African market and then head for lunch.

“Plenty for the tourist to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Boat trips and fishing trips are available from the docks, or you can sit and watch the seals being fed by the mouth of the locals....for a small optional fee of course! There are plenty of market stalls selling genuine African goods and a lovely restaurant which fills up quickly so reserve or get there early.

The views here @ breath-taking. Quite a popular spot for decent fish and chips! Very friendly locals. Fish on the Rocks, very, very popular. Very speedy service. Beautiful scenery, whilst you enjoy your lunch!

“Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Hout Bay is excellent if you are done with the city scene in Cape Town Central. Hout Bay offers a lovely beach for families and tourists, cape fur seals viewing (need to take a boat out) and a summer market with lots of goodies and foodies
