“Perfect boutique hotel in central location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

We loved this small boutique hotel! Our room was African themed; it was unique and comfortable. This is an old building so there were some small quirks - the light switches being one so just keep that in mind. Great value for the money! The staff went out of their way to be helpful. They made arrangements, calls, you name it. Very friendly people. I wish I could stay! I also went to the spa and did the fish therapy and had a massage; it was very nice with professional staff.

This is a beautiful historical boutique hotel and a lovely experience. All the suites are different. We chose a junior suite and were fortunate to get the beautiful suite pictured on the website. But, I'm sure we would have been happy with any suite. We could not have been happier with the staff. They make you feel right at home as soon as you enter and are most attentive. Breakfast was something to look forward to and there are excellent restaurants surrounding the hotel, as well as, African crafts. A lot to see and do within walking distance. Also, the hotel's grapevine is pretty amazing having been planted around 1771 and still producing.

Room Tip: We stayed in 104, which has the most amazing bathroom!

We spent 6 days at the Cape Heritage in September and had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and well maintained and the breakfast made every morning something to look forward to. It's location is fantastic to see the city and there are several good restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended. The only fault we could find was that our room faced onto the side street and there was a restaurant and bar beneath our window so on busy nights you could hear people outside laughing and joking as they went out for a cigarette. Only really bothered us when when it was busy. The bed was a bit too soft for us but I guess that is personal preference.

Room Tip: Our room faced onto the street so there was occasionally a lot of noise from the restaurant downstai...

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed to the hotel.
We were blown away by our room which had a large bedroom and equally large bathroom, the standard of the decor was extremely high.
Breakfast was great, a wide choice of fresh hot food and a continental breakfast.
It's set in a good location, in a restaurant quarter and about a 15 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront which is safe to walk in the day but i would recommend taking a taxi at night.
We were staying on our honeymoon and we returned to our room on our first night to rose petals and champagne-such a nice gesture.
The staff were brilliant by sharing their knowledege, recommendations of what to do and daily wether updates.
Excellent value for money-can't fault this hotel! Thanks for a great stay!

This lovely hotel is conveniently located in the downtown core with markets, shopping, sites and museums, and directly connected to some really excellent restaurants. We were a little disappointed to not get a room pictured on the website, but our suite was large, clean and comfortable with a separate sitting room, bedroom and modern ensuite. The staff were very friendly and quick to make helpful suggestions and arrangements. Breakfast was excellent with both buffet choices and a menu of cooked offerings as well.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting good value for money when staying in Capetown.

We extended our stay here as the staff were so welcoming, especially Fazlin and Abdul, Kelly and Bamford, location perfect for walking and the rooms a historical delight. Breakfast in the courtyard was a delightful start to the day. The staff had an extensive knowledge of maximizing Capetown attractions and facilitated plans easily.

Spent two nights in this hotel.Lovely room with comfortable bed and balcony to sit out on.The bathroom was huge with a powerful shower and a free standing bath.Could not have wished for better. The hotel provides lots of little extra touches that make your stay really special. The staff are both friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They happily provided us with an earlier breakfast due to early morning flight.Hope to visit this wonderful city again some day and will definitely stay at Cape Heritage.
