Stayed here on a business trip. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms are huge, close to CBD and CTICC. Much better than any corporate hotel chain in Cape a town. HQ restaurant doubles up as the Hotel bar and restaurant and has a great vibe as long as you eat stake.

The hotel really surpassed my expectations. The room was incredibly nice and well furnished, with huge shuttered windows and a range of comfortable furniture. The bathroom was also clean and elegant. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore the centre of the city yet away from the noise of Long Street. I've been to Cape Town several times and whenever I need to stay near the centre I'll aim to stay here if possible from now on. Lovely yard out the back with vines and a gallery too.

This was our first stay in Cape Town. The hotel staff were all very welcoming, and the rooms are large and comfortable with a well thought out decor which reflects the history of the building. Good local restaurants. Definitely to be recmmended.

My brother and myself visited Cape Town for a long weekend and decided to stay away from the touristy waterfront area and in a more unique setting. We were pleasantly surprised by the Cape Heritage Hotel, for their lovely rooms and their choice for breakfast. The staff were super helpful, and booked us tickets for various trips, saving us time and effort during our short stay. The Hotel is two minuets away from the busy Long Street and two minuets away from the colourful Bo-Kaap which is defiantly worth a wonder around. It was a 20min walk to the waterfront, but the walk is nice and totally safe during the day time, but we did get taxis in the evening. We liked the hotel so much we have recommended it to friends who have already booked rooms for their visit. We would highly recommend staying at the Cape Heritage, for the price you'd be hard pushed to find anything better

The hotel is located in the middle of the City Bowl, only a couple blocks from the market. Some great to very good restaurants (among them Bizerca Bistro, Savoy Cabbage, and Africa Cafe) are in the same complex and you can take inner passages from the hotel to the restaurants -- extremely convenient. The hotel, for a charge of about 50 rand per day, has parking across the street in a gated lot. I found it very convenient to have a car here. Rooms are very nice with modern bathrooms and adequate t.v.s. Breakfast is a nice choice plus you can order a hot item. The staff that serves breakfast and the folks that run the desk are very, very nice. They contacted me in advance of any thing they might help me with and they made two dinner reservations for me. The only negatives that I can point to: the room is not large for the price (it's not small either); there is a noise like a washing machine that we would start to here at 7 each morning; one night there was late street noise from a noodle shop below but no problem on other nights. Also, it's a matter of taste, but I can imagine that some tourists would prefer a location like the waterfront or near one of the beaches -- this hotel is in the downtown, but we happen to like that sort of thing.

We stayed at Cape Heritage for four nights with our two children. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel was able to arrange some wonderful tours for us. I loved hotel decor -- funky and eclectic with lots of local South African touches. The only downside was the restaurant/discotheque located adjacent to the hotel. Our room overlooked the courtyard where the discotheque is located. The music was extremely loud until 10:30 on Thursday night and midnight on Friday. Since my children couldn't sleep on Friday, they wanted to go up to the roof and use the hot tub, but the hotel told us the hot tub was turned off at 10:00 so as not to bother the patrons. My thought was: Aren't the patrons already bothered by the music? What difference is the hot tub going to make? Thankfully, there was no music on Saturday or Sunday nights, so the rest of our stay was lovely.

Dear ADKKayaker,

Thank you very much for your feedback : this is always appreciated.I am truly sorry that you were inconvenience due to the music from the restaurant. I have taken this up with the restaurant owners and extend their apologies as well. It is true that the Jacuzzi is switched off at 10 pm as it may cause a noise disturbance to rooms directly underneath. In winter, with our unique Cape Town weather, we also run it on request in an effort to be energy conscious. Your feedback is most valued and we will definitely use this to improve our standard of service delivery. I am very glad to hear that you did however, enjoy your stay with us.

We absolutely loved the Cape Heritage when we stayed there for three nights with our two children. The hotel has such a wonderful atmosphere, the rooms are beautiful and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The location for us was perfect, and being so close to lots of great restaurants was an added bonus. We ate at HQ a couple of times as well as local cafes Clarke's and Skinny Legs & All which were all excellent. The hotel breakfast was brilliant with the French toast winning a lot of plaudits from the rest of my family who had it every day. Cape Heritage is a fantastic boutique hotel that is a bit like staying at a friend's place which is why we would definitely return!
