We stayed in the Vineyard hotel and we enjoyed the wonderful gardens, the beautiful pool and the excellent breakfast buffet (included freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit like mangos, papayas, oranges, grapes, pineapple, fresh salmon, bakery). If hot breakfast is included in your rate you can order anything from scrambled eggs to grilled fish to Belgian waffles with ice cream and banana). Also diner is excellent. At night a piano player completed the atmosphere.
We will definitely come back - the hotel area is safe and easy to reach from the airport and close to the city center by car.
This hotel is THE place to stay when you are in Cape Town, at least for us it was.

This is a top-notch hotel with very nice rooms and great service. But what stood out for us was the setting. Even though it is centrally located in Cape Town, the view from the rooms, the patio restaurant and the pool is only of perfectly manicured gardens and Table Mountain in the background. You feel like you are in the country, which gives it a real resort feel. We had a wonderful time.

I think you will struggle to beat Vineyard for value for money in Cape Town. Although not located in the centre of town, this is part of its charm. It is set in absolutely stunning gardens right on the edge of Table Mountain. The rooms look like they have just been refurbished and our room had a brand new Samsung flat screen TV.

We ventured into Cape Town one night and the hotel provided a shuttle bus costing R190 in total.

Highlights are definately the breakfast (you won't go hungry) and the setting. Don't be put off that it is not in the centre of town. We hired a car and had no problem getting around at all.

It is also in a pretty safe area and my wife and I went for a run in the surronding area and did not encounter any problems at all.

I stayed two nights on business. After a long flight from the UK the staff were happy to open the bar after midnight to provide snacks and a night cap. Good room , lovely gardens and a pleasure to have breakfast on the veranda loking at the gardens and the hills.
No problem to me as the company i was visiting was near by but is a god distance from the waterfront area etc.
I enjoyed my stay and found everyone helpful and friendly
One little moan: wifi in the bedrooms would have been good
