Stayed here as I was going to a conference at CTICC. The hotel and gardens are beautiful. The staff were very helpful going above and beyond. We arrived after an overnight flight, check in is not until 2pm, but our room was ready by 1pm. There is a freshen up room by the pool where you can shower and change if you have had the presence of mind to put a change of clothes in your carry-on bag, towels & shampoo etc. provided. So then we had brunch on the patio overlooking the mountain. The Square restaurant is great, the best springbok that we had in South Africa. Rooms quiet, beds comfortable, great food.

“Loved the Vineyard”

Vineyard Hotel & Spa

Feb 2, 2008

Just loved our stay here. We have been before and were a little worried in case it wasn't as good but we were delighted. We had a lovely room and the food and staff are both excellent. Can't wait to go back.

“Pure opulence”

Vineyard Hotel & Spa

A very opulent setting although a bit away from the city centre and harbour area around the back of Table Mountain. Very Very good food and tremendous service. You can find it in the Mercury brochure

“Excellent hotel for relaxing”

Vineyard Hotel & Spa

Jan 29, 2008

Loved this hotel. We stayed for the first couple of nights in Cape Town to relax and all our expectations were met. Stayed in a garden view room the first night as we arrived late and it was so peaceful with the waterfall outside our window. The second night we stayed in a mountain deluxe room on third floor (no balcony but good view) with an amazing view of Table Mountain.

Staff are excellent and friendly, very good customer service. It was my partner's birthday and I requested a bottle of bubbly to be in the room on our arrival - this was duly delivered and Muneerah, in charge of beverages and food, asked for a message to be delivered with it also, making it all the more personal. At dinner in the fabulous Square restaurant, the chef painted my partner's dessert plate with chocolate and birthday wishes. Nice touches.

Nice hotel with some history, beautiful grounds, nice spa and good treatments (I had a head and shoulder massage which got rid of all the stress of work!). Overall a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it for a couple of relaxing days as you are out of the city with its hustle and bustle. Would advise to email the hotel directly if you have any requests or queries as they are prompt in answering.

Myself and my wife and her parents stayed here on the 5th of January for 6 nights and we really enjoyed our stay here. We got upgraded to a mountain view room as it was our anniverseries where the room was a very good size with a massive bed and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast and dinners there were wonderful and also good value. The grounds and the two pools were also very nice with a big area for walks.

I agree with some other comments that some areas of the hotel were very shabby with the reception area being the worst with dampness evident on the wall. I cannot understand this as overall the hotel is wonderful and this does not give a good welcome to arriving guests.

Overall wonderfull hotel on lovely grounds just a bit of a shame on some of the shabby areas of the hotel.
