“Value with views”

I stayed here with my husband and family in two rooms for one night.

We found a last minute deal online that was great value for the rooms we received.

We arrived quite early and were unable to check in before the designated time of 2pm, but were able to leave our car in the car park (charged at R60 for 24 hours).

The hotel is located in the city centre, just a couple of blocks away from the hop on/hop off bus stop, which was convenient for us. It’s further away from the waterfront and beach areas.

Check in and check out seemed to take quite a while for the number of staff on duty, but we were happy with the rooms themselves. Both of our rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds and good views of Table Mountain. They also had a sink, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.

The pool area was a little disappointing, quite small and not overly attractive. We also checked out the gym, which seemed to be quite well equipped.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fairly good, although not outstanding. There was live music, so the place had a pleasant atmosphere. We chose to have breakfast in town, rather at the hotel, as it was cheaper.

We found this hotel to be well located and very good value. My only complaint would be that they charged for Internet, while most other hotels I’ve been to offer free Wi-Fi.

Came here mostly for table mountain, the hike was amazing!!! The hotel was very alright. Like many others have posted, the food was nasty and the staff was around expectations. If your anything like me then you won't spend too much time in the hotel anyway because Cape Town is beautiful.

Housekeeping worked very well. The linens were changed everyday. But the breakfast was bad. Not tasty and not much choise. Tea cofee service was always late usually after we have finished eating. The glaases had lipstick stains mostly. The reception staff not all but most were arrogant and not helpfull and friendly at all. They also overcharge you if you make them call for a taxi. The locTion was nice with a 5 min walk to greenmarket square where you can buy souveniers and to the sightseeing bus stop. The pool was just like a bathtub :) there was no view from the room. According to these facts the hotel was expensive.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The V&A waterfront is 10 mins walk, malay quarters 5 mins, the Boo Kaap 2 mins, local flee market 5 mins behind the hotel, the museum and castle 5 mins. The rooms are pretty standard. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a gym. There was no free wifi. Private parking is there for self driven vehicle but at a nominal cost of 60 Zar per day.

The staff is friendly and helpful. All tours and travels pick up happens from here. The restaurant plays live music.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms with higher floor

Im not sure of the price as we stayed here as part of a packaged tour. However, the location was great. It's just a couple of blocks from the colorful Malay Quarter, and a 5 minute ride to the Waterfront. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The restaurant stayed open late just for our group as we arrived from the U.S. at about 10:30pm. We had a great view of Table Mountain from our room. But some others in our group had interior (and much smaller rooms). The pool is very small.
