The hotel is situated close to the heart of Cape Town and provides excellent value for money. Good service and all staff friendly. Car parking available underneath. Didn't try the pool so couldn't comment on that.

We stayed at the Cape Town Lodge hotel for a week. We found the reception staff to be very helpful, and our room was very clean. We had asked for a non-smoking room but the room we checked into smelled of smoke, and upon being informed the front desk immediately moved us to another room. Great central location: walking distance from cafes, Company Gardens, Long Street, Greenmarket Square; a short cab ride away from the V&A Waterfront.

Downer: the rooftop pool is very small and gets sun for only part of the day
Bonus: the hotel restaurant has live music every night

This is the third time that we have stayed in this hotel and it was amazing again! From the General Manager who makes a special effort to get to know her guests to the bell person who assists with the luggage, superb service! The only possible negative is that I felt the breakfasts could have been more varied considering that we stayed for 7 nights - it became a bit monotonous! Other than that, I would stay again and again! A great hotel, a great location and our room - what a view to wake up to every morning!

Room Tip: Room 821 is great!

If possible, choose the loft suite at the top floor of the hotel ( or ask for an upgrade when checking in as we did). It is huge (3 floors) and has floor to ceiling windows on each floor, including the bedroom. Waking up with an undisturbed view of Cape Town is amazing.

i arrived at the lodge alone for my honeymoon (my husband joined me 2 days later) and the hotel was totally accomodating to our requests from postponing the honeymoon package to another day although i was at the hotel already, the reception was splendid, i spent more thant 25 mins asking questions and the were so friendly!
my room was spacious with the most spectacular view of table mountain!
breakfast was heavenly (specially for a pregnant lady) and so fulfilling.
the pool was a bit cold, but i loved it, terrace was calm and the signal hill view just awesome!!!
i will definitely return and hopefully stay longer!!!
thank you cape town lodge hotel!!

Room Tip: higher rooms less noise better view. corner rooms have a view of the mountain, and city!

We are satidfied with the hotel in general, but must complain about the air conditioner that makes much noise and also the swimming pool and terrace are very poor. It is not allowed to be there after 8pm which is very disappointing!
The breakfast is very good!

We arrived at the hotel and were impressed by location. Amenities were great. Staff - well this is where the cameleon comes in. Some staff very helpful and friendly whilst others were 180 degrees the opposite.
The wi-fi came at a price that was not worth using it.

Room Tip: If you are going to spend some time in the room ask for an exterior one with a view.
