Directly accross the CTICC entrance, the best hotel you will choose if you are attending a conference there. The rooms we had got great view of Cape Town city and decent size. The staff are helpful, and the overall look of the hotel is smart and beautiful. Will use again.

We stayed for 5 nights and found that every interaction we had with staff was top notch. We had a guide pick us up 2 of the days, used the hop-on bus one day and used the very convenient shuttle bus several times throughout the week. Drivers were polite and the only time the shuttle was full was one night when we were on the last shuttle of the night back to Westin. We used the spa several times and were even accommodated when we decided to schedule treatments last minute. Breakfast was the same every day but the variety was huge and good quality. Wait staff was attentive. The room was clean and modern with a beautiful bathroom. We were on a high floor with good views though we were not in the room often enough. Service is so important to us and I am willing to pay a premium for it while on vacation.

We started off our South African holiday with two nights at the Westin, arriving quite late from our international flight and were greeted with smiles and hellos by the staff. Our room overlooked the harbour and had all possible amenities that we could have wanted.
The next morning we went downstairs to have breakfast but found that the hotel charged at outrageous amount of Rand (around EUR 16-17 per person). Having been to SA before we opted to take the shuttle bus to the Waterfront and had a lovely breakfast at one of the restaurants there.
The hotel Spa is lovely, with a jacuzzi overlooking the harbour.
Overall great stay, tip for the hotel: have a lower priced option for breakfast (some travelers are not on business so the boss won't pay the bill ;-) )

We are very happy to know you enjoyed your xstay with us at the Westin Cape Town and we hope to see you again very soon for your next stay with us.

I reviewed your comments with regards to the breakfast pricing, our breakfast buffets is one of the finest available in Cape town among 5 Star Hotels and is also priced in line with our offerings. I am sorry that you found it too expensive.

We stayed in the Westin for four nights in January 2013. I was a little concerned that it would be a bit far and unsafe if we wanted to walk to the city center, but since we mostly did day trips in and out of the city, it really didn't matter and was nice to be so close to the highway and have valet parking. We felt fine walking to the city center (15minute walk) although weren't out past 9pm.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding and the staff were extremely nice. My husband loved the view in the hot tub and steam rooms and even our bedroom had a wonderful view of the city.

The Sheraton Arabella used to be the showpiece and the number 1 place to stay when in Cape Town. It was rebadged the Westin some years and has managed to maintain the excellent standard set by the Arabella, particularly in terms of the Club breakfast which has to be one of the best we have had in all our wanderings around the world.

The ambience is set immediately you walk into the lobby. Staff are friendly and helpful and check in is quick and efficient. Most, if not all rooms, have a glorious view of either the mountains or the bay. The rooms are tastefully furnished and the bathrooms well-designed.

The location is very good, just down the road of the main shopping and other interesting areas of the city and a short shuttle ride to the Waterfront. The convention centre is right next door.

The pool, sauna and spa are on the top floor and the views from the long, large pool are spectacular.

All in all well worth the price tag. The same cannot be said for a number of other upmarket hotels in the Cape Peninsula area.
