I stayed at the Cape Milner on business in May 2007. It is a lovely boutique hotel - the public areas are very stylish, the rooms quite simple and not total luxury - but comfortable and clean.
The staff at the hotel are really attentive, and knew my name when I was checking in which is really nice. They were also really good about letting me pick things of the main restaurant menu and have it served in my room - even though it wasnt on the room service menu - when you are travelling on your own, you dont always want to eat in the restaurant.
The location of this hotel, next to the bars and restaurants on kloof Street is really good - although you will have to taxi ride it to the beaches of Camps Bay and to the tourist areas of the Waterfront. But like most boutique hotels it was been put in the 'cooler' area.
The hotel had a nice pool but it didnt really seem to be the sort of sunbathing hotel, but the option is there.
All in all, a really nice hotel and great value for money.
