“Excellent Hotel”

Le Vendome Hotel

As the other reviewer said, this is clearly not the same hotel that 'Disgruntled of Glasgow' stayed in. Le Vendome is beautiful; the rooms are great, well sized, the staff are exceptional and the food fine. This is NOT a boring, standard chain hotel - it is a chic boutique hotel that fully deserves its five stars.
The staff are absolutely fantastic, and, it must be said, very attractive (take a bow, Mishke!).I have rarely been looked after so well, and it will be my pleasure to stay at this lovely piece of Paris in Cape Town every time I'm here. Thanks to one and all.

“5 star hotel, 7 star treatment”

Le Vendome Hotel

Just to say that we have stayed at this Hotel for 1 week and have never had such good service from everyone in the hotel - from cleaners all the way up to the owner. Food was excellent, rooms and hotel immaculate. What made the holiday was the staff - always at hand, offering good advice and never too busy to 'go the extra mile' for us. This hotel is highly recommended and we would definitely rate it a 5* hotel offering 7* service. We would certainly return - but next time certainly for longer than a week!! Thankyou to everyone at the hotel for such a great holiday!!

“Can't wait to come back!!”

Le Vendome Hotel

After reading some of the other recent reviews I cannot believe that we are talking of the same hotel. Surely people cannot blame a hotel when the tour operator moves accommodation??!! I found that Hotel Le Vendome is a very professional, well run, fantastically managed hotel. The warmth and luxury of the hotel is evident once you walk through the door. Nothing is too much trouble, the service and attention to detail from the junior staff upwards to the owner of the hotel is exceptional. The food is magical, the ambiance is superb and I for one cannot wait to return here, be it for business or for pleasure. HOTEL LE VENDOME IS THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER, EVER STAYED IN!!

“Not our choice”

Le Vendome Hotel

We stayed at Le-Vendome because our other accomadation was cancelled at the last minute, the pool was more like a plunge pool, not enough seating, the rooms were clean but a lot of rooms had no balconys, the evening meals, there were no variation and food left uncovered for to long, although the staff was very friendly, beach about 50 meteres away not recomended for sunbathing, but the promenade was lovely, hotel not catered for long stay holiday makers, more of a stopover

“Not a holidayhotel”

Le Vendome Hotel

This hotel was a replacement arranged by our tour company for the one we had booked and was disappointing. It would be suitable for business use or a city weekend break but not for a fortnight's holiday. The hotel is well decorated with adequate rooms but most are without a balcony and with views of surrounding tall buildings with an occasional glimpse of the sea. The pool terrace is tiny and often acts as a wind tunnel with parasols blowing over, the pool is too small and shallow to swim properly in - except for the seagulls who are a real nuisance! The food in the Rive Gauche restaurant is reasonably good but pretentious and the full menu was never available. Most of our meals were buffet style in the other restaurant and were generally atrocious! Limited choice and food left on display from 7.00 - 10.00pm. Though near the promenade, the area the hotel is situated in is not a particularly safe one. Wouldn't recommend it for a holiday.
