You will not go wrong to book here,it is a great boutique hotel.Possibly not in the best location but the facilities and the staff makes up for that!

I had the opportunity of taking my partner away for his 25th birthday last week-end & our experience turned out to be what he said was his most memorable birthday ever... We spent the week-end at a magnificent hotel in Cape Town & highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone visiting South Africa.

Drive for half an hour & discover the beauty of the glorious Cape Winelands…
If you feel like unwinding & not going anywhere at all, simply stay at Hotel Le Vendome & relish in surroundings that will calm & soothe even the most exhausted traveller.
Upon entering the hotel, you are engulfed in warm lighting, fine furnishings including superb chandeliers & a hospitality that will make you feel like royalty. Each hotel suite is fully equipped for both leisure & business. Have a meal in the comfort & tranquillity of your hotel room, on your own private balcony or enjoy fine dining in the hotel’s Rive Gauche Restaurant – known for its culinary masterpieces. We had a three course meal with each dish proving to be a work of art. The staff were extremely precise in their descriptions & suggestions for wine to accompany the meal & made us feel pampered without being overbearing. My partner's dessert was chocolate bread & butter pudding which was presented as a gold-dusted, floral extravaganza! Breakfast was a continental feast in Le Cigne Restaurant – overlooking the airy veranda & crystal swimming pool.
No matter what your taste or flavour, Hotel Le Vendome is an experience you will always savour.

Stayed here for 6 nights for a conference early Nov. Hotel is 100 feet from the fabulous ocean front promonade, has a lot of staff and offers free transport to airport and V&A Waterfront. Some low floors have bad rooms facing other buildings in a close range. Rooms above 5th floor are good. Rooms with balcony all have some ocean view, but these rooms cost R500 more, which is not justified. Rooms with two single bed are cramped. Rooms are all nicely decorated, in a tasteful French style. The owner often greets guests and is very hands-on. Conciege staff are happy to do a lot of extra things, even including buying grocery. But some staff are not well trained so service is sporadic.

The locations is not convenient and safe as Waterfront. Half a block away is the Main Road where locals live and shop and pan-handle and street-fight and etc. Hotel staff are ultra-cautious about the security situation and even advised guests who want to use ATM machine to take the shuttle to waterfront. (There are also 5 guards standing at the corners of the hotel, doing nothing, just staring at people walking by.) Walking out of the hotel after 8pm will certainly invite a question from concierge staff, and an attempt to make you stay cose by.
