After seeing some of the nasty reviews, I had to write to share my experieince.
We picked this hotel as there were 3 of us traveling and we wanted a 2 bedroom suite. We had just finished a high-end safari, so we were ok with saving a few bucks. The property was very secure, had a guide at the gate. It was super easy to find and I did find it for the first time well after midnight, in a rental car.
The rooms are not new, but very serviceable. The beds were comfy and the linen's nice. We had 2 bathrooms, and both had plenty of hot water. The first morning we noticed a light out in the living room, which made the room really dark. We told the front desk and by the time we were back, it had been fixed.
I really take exception with the comments about the breakfast, the breakfast was great, ours was included in the room cost and we certainly were pleased. They had hot made-to-order eggs, multiple sausages (beef, chicken, mutton, pork, ect....). They allowed you to sit and enjoy as much coffee/tea as you wanted, for as long as you wanted.
The internet was pricey, $5US for 15 minutes, but you pay for the convienents of having it in the lobby. Yes, I could have gone to an internet cafe and paid less, but the choice is there for you to decide.
One of the ladies at the front desk was not clever, but the other lady was great, gave great driving directions and many good touring tips.
No, this is not the ritz, but for the price you pay, I thought they offered alot of value. I would stay here on my next trip to Cape Town.
