Owner description: The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

“Pleasantly surprised.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

I thought that the park might be boring, but it is really lovely with many interesting little areas and lots of information. It has a great atmosphere and is in a lovely area close to the sea, stadium and Green Point Lighthouse, which is well worth a visit. The lighthouse is small, but has great views and a small exhibit. I loved being at both places. There is a small fee for the lighthouse.

Soft green lawns, areas with tables for picnics and parties, jungle jims for kids to clamber on, large areas for ball games, interesting walkways and planted gardens. Entrance is FREE!

“A must for family picnics and to take the kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

This Park has two play areas for different ages of children. Very popular over the weekends as the kids of all ages play on their bikes as well as the parks with all types of activities.
You'll see many families holding birthday parties there as well as all ages having picnics.
Secure and safe and a walk to the beach area.
