“Good restaurant, centrally located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

A very good restaurant in the very heart of Cape Town, close to Long Street. I had a chicken (Pollo involtino) with different sauces and salad – very good and tasty, and also had a glass of local beer. The price was very reasonable (about R125). Excellent and efficient service. I was sitting outside and it was very pleasant as the street is very nice and lively.

“Excellant VFM”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

Ate here a few times whilst staying in the surrounding area, and found that Doppio Zero provided a good meal for it's price point. The staff were very energetic and charming, and the food was great value for money. Hardly "Haute Cuisine", but a good night out can be had here without breaking the bank.

“Ok food but excellent entertainment!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

This place was just hilarious. Staff were running around like headless chickens - I mean literally running inside the restaurant and shouting at each other! Right hand didn't know what the left was doing sort of thing. The staff were extremely friendly but appeared as though it was their first night and didn't know what they were doing. The manager was good, trying to oversee the operation and manage his staff but unfortunately came across a big too tense and stressed-out which gave away negative vibes. Also he was dressed a bit too casual for a manager facing customers (wearing cargo trousers and a polo shirt). He was correcting his staff in front of customers rather than doing it discreetly which was a bit awkward to watch too. The staff were sweet but hopeless at times as we had to chase them for drinks then ask if we could order our food then no one asked us if we could order desserts. We weren't told anything about today's specials which we noticed as we were leaving the restaurant on blackboards. Food was ok actually but we had to ask for olive oil and Parmesan cheese for our pasta dishes. I think they would benefit from Gordon Ramsey to come and show these guys how a restaurant should run. Ohh, those with nut allergy please do not assume dishes are nut free even though no nuts are mentioned on the menu. Vanilla ice cream had hazelnuts in them! Having said that would go to this restaurant again as it is good enough food with bags of entertainment.

“Good Pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

If you staying around St Georges Mall in the Cape Town CBD this is well worth the visit. Nice calm relaxed atmosphere and the pizza was as good as it gets. The place also serves meals such as seafood, steaks etc. The prices are reasonable and well worth your spend.
