Really excellent way to see Cape Town, even if you are a local. Wonderful experience and would definitely do again.

Great tour to orientate yourself with the layout of Cape Town. Interesting and informative narrative accompanied the tour. So many places to visit or return to. Great 2 day price with discounts for various other attractions. Free taxi ride to the Groote Schuur Hospital to visit the Transplant Museum (and return to your hotel), with the city tour ticket.

We took the red line Hop on, Hop off bus..perfect for sightseeing the city and beach towns...then we took the blue line and went to the botanical gardens, the wine country, Houts Bay, and the beach towns again...a terrific way to get an overview of the city and surroundings!

I have been in this hop on hop off bus tour 2 twice, once in 2004 and now again in 2012. Both were fantastic insights to the city of Cape Town, and I highly recommend this as the very first thing you do once you get here. Both. Tours depart often from the waterfront, the tickets are inexpensive but the insight you will get form just one round trip will put you in good stead for the remainder of you trip never mind talking as if you were a local when tell you friends about Cape Town when you get home
