“Wonderful hotel, mediocre but expensive breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2011

This hotel offers spectular rooms for the price. Very large, beautifully fitted, large luxury bathroom, room sized shower. Luxurious free San Pelegrino spoarking water and another brand of still, bowl of green and black olives, luxury nuts, great bed, gowns, slippers, etc. The style and size is really amazing and the view of Table Mountain unsurpassed. A large but modestly equipped new gym on the 6rth floor. A great experinece for the price and the second time I have stayed. All that wonder and funk and yet a disappointing very mediocre breakfast. If this hotel wants to be really great, they should lift their game in this department.

This relatively new hotel in Cape Town is well worth a visit. We stayed here for four nights as part of an organized tour. The decor is contemporary, the rooms large with comfortable beds and views down to reception or to Table Mountain. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The food is AMAZING. The breakfasts as mentioned in previous reviews are really great you cannot ask for anything better, includes specialty coffees which is always a bonus. We also ate in the evening in the cafe and restaurant, both were great value for money especially the set 3 course meal with a glass of wine in the main restaurant. Free wi-fi internet access is always appreciated.
This hotel is situated at the "dodgy end" of Long Street but we ventured out there during the day without incident, and you can walk down to the Waterfront if you so desire. You can walk to The Nelson Hotel around the corner for the "Hop on Hop Off Tourist Bus" to The Botanic Gardens (Blue Bus) or around the city (Red Bus) or to sample their excellent afternoon tea.
I would definitely stay at 15 on Orange again.

Room Tip: No complaints about the rooms from any of the 39 people on our tour. All rooms were quiet and comfor...

Stayed at this Hotel for 4 days and found it very clean and spacious. We were given a lovely bedroom...nice crisp clean sheets, pillowcases and soft towels everyday! The food was of a very high standard and the staff very efficient. The only down side for us was being charged twice for the items we used from the mini bar. So just a word of warning to check your bill before you leave the hotel unlike us....It's a long way to go back and get it put right!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Table Mountain

Excellent location, with great views of Table mountain. Very stylish and modern hotel. Appreciatively different in design and furnishings from other hotels of its ilk. Attentive restaurant & bar staff, however other staff are not necessarily at the same level as noticed over a 10 day stretch.

The African Pride hotel on Orange Street was a fantastic place to stay in Cape Town. Seldom have we experienced such a world class hotel that exceled in almost every respect. It design and décor is very chic, modern and luxurious. The hotel’s location is very central to Cape Town with easy access to just about all the sites in the city. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful – if you needed something you only had to ask and they delivered. Some of the best meals we had in Cape town we had at the hotel restaurant with an excellent menu and a wait staff that was truly interested in making our dining experience wonderful. Our room was large with a comfortable king sized bed. The bathroom had a huge soaking tub, a shower with a rain showerhead and double sink vanity. To cap it off our room had floor to ceiling windows with a drop dead gorgeous view of Table Mountain. Our only disappointment was that the rooftop deck and pool were unfinished. Overall, if you’re looking for a modern, elegant, centrally located hotel with an excellent level of service it’s hard to beat the African Pride 15 on Orange.

Room Tip: Select a room facing Table Mt.

15 on Orange is a funky mod hotel, with huge rooms, great food, and a great location at the top of Long street.

What I like:
- Large rooms with big lounge area, desk etc. 2 flat screen TV's so can watch from bed or from the couch in the lounge area.
- Spacious bathroom with deep bath, fantastic shower.
- Super food, breakfast and room service really nice.
- View very dependant on which room you get, ask for one with a view of table mountain!
- Complimentary massage from the spa was a nice touch!
- less than 100m from top of Long Street, so easy to take a walk and find a funky Cape Town bar to have a drink or get a bite to eat.

What I didnt like:
- If you get the wrong room you dont have a view, but given its location thats understandable.
- They charge R65 a day for parking, pretty meaningless in the scheme of things so why even bother?
- Hotel is not really for business - the business centre doesnt exist save for a few computers and a tired printer/fax.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of table mountain!

My experience at 15 on Orange has only been of excellent service and delicious food. Although I haven't stayed for the night, I have been to the restaurant, Saviour, many times and have always had a fantastic experience.

On one occasion, having booked their entertainment room to watch a World Cup Rugby match, I was told that there had been a mix-up and that the room had been double booked. Without hesitation, the manager offered an executive suite in which to watch the game. Our food and beverages were brought up to the room and we watched in style. Quite outstanding.

Hats off to the team at 15.
