“Fantastic view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

We stayed at Cape Paradise Lodge for ten nights. Fantastic view of Cape Town, the bay and Table Mountain. The staff is nice and friendly; premises are kept spotlessly clean. There are often orange-breasted sun birds in the flowers beneath the window and lots of squirrels in the trees; one night we were even greeted by a scorpion in front of the house. Guests can park securely behind a gate. Just great.

The one thing I did not like were the smoking guests on the verandah, at times we had to sleep in our room when it smelled like a bar; not nice at all. Thank goodness for the two very cute dogs; they managed to make up for the disgusting cigarette smell.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cape Paradise Lodge very much - we started our South Africa Trip there and Macro told us everything we needed to know about Cape Town and the Garden Route.

We liked it so much, that we came back some weeks later, when we returned from our round trip in South Africa.

The breakfast is very good!

The rooms are big and you can see the table mountain (if it is not cloudy) - also you have a beautiful view over Capetown.

The hosts are very friendly and have always a good advice for you.

Perfect start for our holiday in SA! Really nice helpful and witty hostess! Beautiful room with stunning views of Cape Town! Easy to get to the restaurants, lots of privacy, really good breakfast with very good omelette, honesty bar, nice pool (although we didn't use it). Nice dogs! Just perfect!

A nice stay very close to Table Mountain and not too far from downtown.
We can't say anything about the B& B because we were staying in one of the apartments (rhino apartment). The hosts are extremely friendly and were helping with advice concerning restaurants and activities. The apartment section of Cape Paradise also has a pool - but we didn't use it because it just wasn't the right season... The apartment itself was nice - if you don't mind that there is no TV and only one very small table.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cape Paradise Lodge. We even prolonged our stay there. The lodge is very well located in Higgovale, a nice area with a lot of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other facilities nearby. The rooms are very cosy and beautiful, the breakfast always very delicious. Marco and Lena, the hosts, are so friendly and helpful - they have everytime a good advice where to go, what to do or how to best drive. We can strongly recommend this accommodation and will for sure come back when we are a second time in Cape Town.

I stayed in the room (not appartments) with my family. It is a really nice place where you really can feel like you are at home. The view is amazing, but that also means that it is pretty high up the mountain so it can be a little much to walk.
The owners are more friendly and helpful than I could hope for, just ask them about what is on your mind!
for this price it really think it is one of the best options in cape town
