found this hotel thru Tripadvisor. We were doubting between staying at one of the bigger hotels and this smaller hotel, and decided to risk it and go for Zest. Very good experience.
Very friendly and helpful staff (helped us with bookings), clean, spacious and hip rooms, all amenities are good, good beds, quiet location, hipster design 70's vibe but not too much.
This place lives up to its great reviews, highly recommended. Congratulations.

At the end of our trip to Cape Town and surrounds we unexpectedly had a last night in Cape Town and booked into villa zest at the last minute. The room was gorgeous, the common areas were lovely, the decor is fab and the staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was everything you need in the beautiful breakfast room. We loved it and were sorry we didn't find it to stay in at the beginning of our trip as well.

Room Tip: I think any room would be great!

A modern, clean and bright property in Greenpoint. Close to the V & A, walk there and a cheap metered taxi back after dark. Sat DSTV, i-pod dock, wi-fi and house laptop available in the upstars lounge, o/head shower in the bath, 6 foot bed with quality pillows and linen. The gardens, pool and cabana most welcome after a day exploring this wonderful city and its surrounds, Excellent breakfast and brilliant staff.

Villa Zest is the perfect boutique hotel and is the best we have come across as yet. perfect in all aspects - location, place, decor, breakfast, food, rooms, amenities, cleanliness, intimate feeling, and most of all people. Janese and the entire staff there were so happy and helpful and kind... exceptionally professional and they knew what they were doing. Cape town was made more beautiful and convenient because of villa zest. They go out of their way to make sure your trip is the most memorable one. I named Janese specifically for the reason that she catered to my husband's fancy honeymoony ideas and decorated our rooms as he wanted it to make the trip soooo special.
Small cozy and amazing place. The best in cape town..

Room Tip: Dont miss having breakfast there.. every morning is a treat! :)

All I can say is that if you ever visit Cape Town, try and get a room at Villa Zest. Kevin has created a masterpiece and has the very best people working for him who take the very best care of you.

Location - fantastic ! Breakfast - sensational ! Accomodation - perfect and VERY stylish....!
Swimming Pool - intimate and a real sun-trap, and two metres from our room :-)

The staff - what a great bunch ! Michelle, Janese and Gilbert are the nicest people I have dealt with when travelling. It didn't feel like a hotel at all, it was just like being in your own holiday home in Cape Town. Even the driver that collected us from the airport and dropped us off when we left (Rushdy) was a real character - that's the level of service you get from these guys.

I look forward to returning one day, I hope that is soon.

Room Tip: If you like 'poolside' American Graffiti is recommended !

This is a great base for exploring Cape Town. You can walk to the V&A or the city and there are a number of nice resatuarants now in Greenpoint itself. On the downside it doesn't have a view and is obviously not on the beach. But it a proper boutique with great service, scrumptious breakfast, tastefully decorated and very clean with reasonably spacious rooms. Has its own pool for lounging around and 24-hour concierge and bar facilities and snack menu, but not a full restaurant outside of breakfast time. Highly recommended - you can experience the best of Cape Town without paying V&A prices.

Where to start? The hotel is 'uber trendy' in an art deco meets the 60's kind of way....fabulous! White walls, 60/70's furniture and artwork provide the perfect ambience. The poolside area is intimate and stylish and the guest rooms continue this theme. The breakfast choices are varied and delicious. But the best part? It has to be the staff. We have never had this level of service
ANYWHERE. The reception team, Michelle, Janese and Gilbert, are fabulous...nothing was too much trouble. All super friendly people who go the extra mile. This level of service cannot be learned on a 'Hotel Management' course....it is instinctive and cannot be faked. Kevin, the owner, has assembled a great team.
