“Friendly, chic neighbourhood restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Good food with some talented twists, great quality oysters fresh and ozoney! Pan asian/African feel to it. Good wine list and really friendly helpful waiting staff. Probably need to up their game if they're not to lose out to some of the up and coming Cape Town kids but consistently good and innovative enough to render a visit really worthwhile.

“Poor Value, very disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Restaurant tries to be more than it really is. Very expensive, poor quality and a bad attitude. R100 for a fondant! Plus the quality isnt in the same league as its competitors. Avoid this rip off joint, rather go to one of the many other quality restaurants in Cape Town.

“Very enjoyable evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

Lovely atmosphere, service was attentive and friendly.

Food was top class and very comprehensive wine list to select from. The restaurant is pricey with this easily being the most expensive meal we enjoyed in Cape Town. However price was not outrageous compared to Australia/New Zealand prices for an establishment as good as this.

If your happy to pay I would happily recommend this restaurant. My wife and I very much enjoyed the whole evening/experience.

“Tourist Trap, Poor Value”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Whilst surrounded by tourists, I wondered why I was the only local at this highly acclaimed restaurant. When the food arrived, it all made sense. Not only was it over priced, but the quality of our meals was disappointing. I ordered "east meets west". I received "small dry fish meets oversized bill". Please do not judge the South Afrian upmarket culinary experience on this.

I don't mind paying, but I prefer to not be ripped off.

“A little disappointing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

This was our 3rd time and before we have loved it here! Third time not so lucky and felt it wasn't as special as before. They also tried to put us in the courtyard which was far too hot with no atmosphere and a load of smokers - luckily they had a spare table inside which they happily changed us too. The food and service weren't bad at all but they weren't up to their incredible standard of last year.
