During our two months in Cape Town, the "Blues" became our favourite place for both lunch and dinner.
We tried everything there was on the vegetarian side on the menu, plus a number of meat and seafood dishes, so i can't quote any dish in particular that i'd recommend, except the Pasta with Rabbit Ragù, which is really excellent. The receipe is from Florence, where the chef's father owns a restaurant. I hope they keep it on the menu for a long time. The menu offers mostly italian dishes.
The quality of the food and the choice and quality of the south african wines is spotless, if i could give more than five points in this case, i would.
The atmosphere is very neat, but comfortable. If the wind and sun allow it, it's gorgeous to sit on one of the balconies and enjoy the view over Camps Bay.
Service is impeccable, even in Beach Tongues, Shorts and T-Shirt we were treated in the most welcoming and friendly way. For dinner i would nevertheless recommend, putting on some trousers :)
A personal touch was given to our visits, that on several occasions the chef came to our table in order to discuss the food we were having and any other topic that came up. Very nice.
