“Simply wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2010

Cape Rose cottage is a beautiful place to stay in Camps Bay. We stayed on the first floor with another couple with whom we were travelling. Our bedrooms namely Aquamarine and Lavender were wonderful and both overlooked the sea. Each bedroom has every facility that you can think of and more. A kitchenette in each and the fridge is kept topped up with milk, yoghurts and fruit juice and together with a loaf in the bread bin, breakfast is taken care of.
A lovely bar compliments the lounge area which opens on to a huge balcony where on loungers you can gulp a beer, sip on wine and watch the sun go down.
Pam was a wonderful host during our stay and nothing was too much trouble.
Location is ideal for Cape Town and all the sights.
Stay at Cape Rose Cottage and you will have a wonderfully relaxed and peaceful holiday....magical!

My wife and I stayed in the Lavender Room for our first week of our honeymoon. It was perfect for us. The room is so comfy, just what we needed after a long flight. There was a nice little kitchen too. The owners Pam and Steve, are ever so helpful as we didnt know where to go at first. The balcony is just amazing, the photos on here are good but its much better! Sunset every night, you could see it from our big bath too, lovely. It was ever so clean and the entire hotel has a warm welcoming feel, with amazing gardens front and back. We were tempted to stay closer to Camps Bay beach but we were so glad we chose this place, as it is near enough to town, but was so quiet and relaxing. The local taxi driver Isaak was hilarious, like a younger Desmond Tutu.
Overall it was the pure comfort and amazing views that stay in our memories, thank you again Pam and Steve! Mr & Mrs Smith

We stayed for three nights in the Aquamarine suite which was as good as it looks on the internet. Pam and Steve were very helpful, and could not do enough for us. It was a fantastic start to our holiday, thank you both very much. Diane and John

When you arrive you park by a wall with a gate. When you open the gate - a big WOW moment! An idyllic seaside cottage lies at the bottom of the garden path. Our room was the "Lavender" suite. The decor and furnishings are faithful to the theme of the room with every detail taken care of, right down to the bags of lavender in the drawers. Even the kitchen crockery and accessories match and compliment the theme. The bathroom was very cleverly concealed behind the extension of the wardrobe doors, and again the attention to detail to maintain the lavender theme, soaps, embroidered towels, toiletries was perfect. The chandelier in the bathroom is magnificent!! Congratulations!!

Cape Rose Cottage is a quiet gem with wonderful helpful owners who go out of their way to accomodate their guests. The room was very cozy with a nice kitchen, a lovely patio area with a view to the ocean. Camps Bay is a lovely area of Cape Town with the beach very close and some wonderful restaurants and shops. I would definately recommend this wonderful self-catering guest house

Received plenty of good and useful advice from the owners Pam and Steve before and during our stay. In short, Rose Cottage is a very pleasant place to stay; calm and beautiful, cosy as if you were really in their guestroom and not in a rented room, safe and clean. There is a pc,/internet at guests disposal and the fridge is filled up with fresh breakfast food and wine - just what you will need since all other meals are preferably taken by the seaside in Camps Bay or in Cape Town.
