“Everything and more!”

Atlanticview Capetown Boutique Hotel

Feb 21, 2008

I don't think I can add too much more to the previous rave reviews on this site. After spending 3 weeks in SA, I decided after reading reviews that this guesthouse would be a great way of winding up our visit. It exceeded all expections, Greg, Rainer and the staff, especially Madje were amazing. I have had the good fortune in travelling extensively both with work and pleasure and can say without hesitation that the Atlantic View is the most luxurious, friendly and efficient place I have ever had the pleasure in staying. The breakfasts set you up for the day, a huge variety as you might expect, and Greg, I loved your Granny's style beans! The sundowners are a great way of breaking the ice and Greg is very generous with his wine tastings! To sum up, a fabulously special place with views of the Ocean to the front and The twelve apostles to the back. Amazing. Would we return? Try stopping us!

We stayed at the Atlantic View for 4 nights and had an amazing time.

What a beautiful place, the views of the Atlantic and Camps Bay are breathtaking! The property was immaculate and attention to detail was second to none.

The staff at the property were superb, all are very friendly and very helpful. They all had an extensive knowledge of the local area and were able to recommend and arrange tables at some of the best restaurants in the Capetown Area. They were the best staff we have encountered in any hotel.

The place is something really special and unique. Our only regret was that we didn't stay for longer!

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a month of travelling in South Africa and our stay at Atlantic View, which wound up an amazing trip was definately the big jewel in the crown.
We had found some fantastic places to stay whilst in SA both on safari and also along the Garden route but the Atlantic View was by far our fave.
The owners Greg and Rainer are both really professional and obviously take great (justifiable) pride in running their guest house. There is such attention to detail and we felt really indulged during our stay. Indeed all the staff in Atlantic View go out of their way to make you feel welcome and looked after.
It is the little things that really make it special, for example, personally reviewed restaurants in Cape Town which should not be missed, car service to restaurants, the best massage that we have had ever which was arranged by Greg... (many thanks Derek!) and rose petals on the bed and a bottle of bubbly on our last night.
We also really enjoyed the generous sundowner wines and canapes which were very sociable and allowed all the guests to mingle, chat and exchange holiday tales.
We met some really lovely people there and were only disappointed that our trip was coming to an end and we had run out of time... we have however resolved to return again as soon as possible!
I travel extensively both with work and for leisure and Atlantic View far exceeded my expectations in so many ways, no mean feat in a country where extremely high standards in accomodation and service are the norm.
Well Done Atlantic View team and we hope to see you all again very soon.

“Heaven”

Atlanticview Capetown Boutique Hotel

Feb 8, 2008

We have just returned from CapeTown and want to go back! This has everything to do with our fantastic stay at Atlanticview .We started and ended our trip here, it is like an oasis. Views are just spectacular overlooking Camps Bay to the front and the imposing Table Mountain to the rear. But Atlaticview does not only count on the views to wow you. The service by all members of the team is excellent, it starts with the pick up from the airport, where during the trip you are provided with lots of information about the area; it gives you a good sense of the town. The arrival is the start to pure luxury and indulgance. We had ordered Champagne in the room for arrival which was in the room so a great start! The rooms (we have stayed in a room and a suite) are lovely, very spacious with fantastic furniture and all mod cons. The beds are heavenly. There are ample sunbeds around the pool, ready to just soak up the sun and relax. The breakfasts are fabulous, you can choose to join other guests or eat at your own table; lots of attention to detail. The ladies serving are dressed beautifully. If you want to explore the town Atlanticview organises transport at very competitve prices and great cars. In the afternoon the team is very happy to recommend and book restaurants in all price ranges for you; we have experienced some great meals. Prior to going out you are free to join for drinks and nibbles. We stayed 4 nights, 2 at the start and 2 at the end of the trip, all great! We think Atlanticview is great value for money and after leaving on Sunday (being dropped of by the Atlanticview car) we are already homesick eventough we do enjoy our own beach here in the UK.
Our recommendation is you cannot go to CapeTown and NOT stay here!

“Totally Fantastic!!”

Atlanticview Capetown Boutique Hotel

Feb 6, 2008

My husband and I chose Atlantic View from all the other available options simply from the huge amount of friendly information Greg provided by email, that in itself was above and beyond what I expected.

We arrived at the property around 11am and were greated with some cooling drinks and extremely firendly staff, this was our first time in Cape Town and was a great start.

From that point in the whole Atlantic View experience was 2nd to none, we can both honestly say we've never stayed anywhere so immaculate, friendly and totally professional, the attention to detail again went beyond anything we would ever have expected. The gift in your room on arrival, the rose petals on our bed with a chilled bottle of bubbly (Thanks Greg!!!), the sunset drinks and canapes, are a only a few to mention. It's perfect for any occasion. If you have a special occassion coming up or just fancy being pampered this is the place to go.

Nothing is too much effort for these guys and we can't wait to return, I'm hoping it's very soon!!

Thanks to all the staff, Greg and Rainer for making our stay such a special one.
