“Simply great......”

Ezard House

We stayed here over New Year 2007/08 and had a great time. From the moment Scott welcomed us to the genuinely sincere goodbye from Don & Jody it truly was a pleasure to stay here. They describe it more as a home than a hotel, and that is exactly how it feels.

The hotel is a modern hotel built over a number of levels overlooking the spectacular Camps Bay. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which was nice, but I did have a look at the bigger rooms and wow!!

The food was great, and served whenever you want and wherever you want. The pool was small but perfectly adequate and the spa bath on the roof looked cool, but we never tried it. I think where this hotel really does shine is the personal service, everyone there really did make the effort to make you feel so comfortable. Prior to going Jody made all our arrangements and he chose some great restaurants for us – La Colombe & Aubergine, both spectacular.

We did use the driver service a lot, this was great for the restaurants as allowed us to have a few drinks. We had Alban the driver who used a nice new BMW 3 Series and was always there promptly for us, excellent service. We toured the Cape of Good Hope and down that way, great day out and thoroughly recommended.

Summarising this post, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a very slick personal service. Camps Bay gives you a chance to enjoy Cape Town but not stay in the throng of the tourists down at the waterfront. Ezard House represents an excellent choice whilst in Camps Bay and the Cape Town area.

What a place and what a team! We travelled down to Cape Town after exhibiting at Soccerex in JoBurg. To be frank I did not know what to expect as it was a late booking but I checked TripAdvisor which looked promising. The only way I can describe this place is "wow". Don Ezard has designed and built a truly one off hotel that relaxes you the minute you walk in and the views from the various terraces are magnificant. The two main ingredients to Ezard house is 1) the staff and 2) the eye to detail. You can tell that lots of love, care and attention went into the build and the quality of fixtures and fittings are first class. This hotel is 4 years old but looks and smells brand new. Special mention has to go to the staff who make you fill at home from the first moment. An a la carte chef is on hand all day to deliver food which would be seen in michelin star restaurants. The presentation at meal times is exquisite. We have stayed all over the world but this is a special place and it was so good that we booked the 11 rooms out for next year to take friends down there. Well done Mr Ezard and your team.........a boutique hotel with 6 star quality!

“Fantastic”

Ezard House

We travel a lot and have yet to stay anywhere that comes close to matching the quality of service we received at Ezard House. The rooms were immaculately kept and very smart. The food was of the highest standard (best seafood platter we've had anywhere). The waiting/reception staff were extremely helpful and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time we're in Cape Town.

Just a short review, had a fantastic time at Ezard house. The place, food and the the staff were all fantastic. It's got incredible views over Camps Bay and very handy for Cape Town which is only 15 mins away.
If you fancy a run there's plenty of routes. Beautiful place would love to return one day.
Highlight: Watching the sunset from the roof top jacuzzi

“Wonderful Start to Our Honeymoon”

Ezard House

We researched many hotels to stay at in Capetown while planning our honeymoon. We decided on Ezard house and it did not dissapoint in any manner. Upon arrival they immediately upgraded us to the suite overlooking the ocean (See the photo from our room of the sunset). We spent 6 nights there and the entire time the staff was excellent. We had a in house dinner one night where while having our dinner cooked got a private cooking lesson from executive chef Daryll. We were excited to meet the hotel's owner having read so much about him but unfortunately he was away for the week we were there. Despite the Boss being gone, the staff remained incredibly professional. Everymorning we had a wonderful breakfast while taking in breathtaking rooms from the dining room. Overall, Ezard house exceeded all our expectations from the cosmopolitan and modern architecture to the delicious food and the wonderful staff. While we have many other places to see in the world, if we ever come back to Capetown we will stay at Ezard House.
