We stayed here over New Year 2007/08 and had a great time. From the moment Scott welcomed us to the genuinely sincere goodbye from Don & Jody it truly was a pleasure to stay here. They describe it more as a home than a hotel, and that is exactly how it feels.
The hotel is a modern hotel built over a number of levels overlooking the spectacular Camps Bay. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which was nice, but I did have a look at the bigger rooms and wow!!
The food was great, and served whenever you want and wherever you want. The pool was small but perfectly adequate and the spa bath on the roof looked cool, but we never tried it. I think where this hotel really does shine is the personal service, everyone there really did make the effort to make you feel so comfortable. Prior to going Jody made all our arrangements and he chose some great restaurants for us – La Colombe & Aubergine, both spectacular.
We did use the driver service a lot, this was great for the restaurants as allowed us to have a few drinks. We had Alban the driver who used a nice new BMW 3 Series and was always there promptly for us, excellent service. We toured the Cape of Good Hope and down that way, great day out and thoroughly recommended.
Summarising this post, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a very slick personal service. Camps Bay gives you a chance to enjoy Cape Town but not stay in the throng of the tourists down at the waterfront. Ezard House represents an excellent choice whilst in Camps Bay and the Cape Town area.
