“biggest asset the staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

The staff of the hotel is their best asset. They were wonderfull in every department. The reception area was very small but the staff very efficient. We slept over for one night after a whole day at the spa. We were treated like royalties. They knew everyone's name after they met you only once! The hotel have a lot of amenities to enjoy. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The Azure restaurant was worth its reputation. Breakfast was a real treat. This is a real smooth operating hotel, well done. We will stay there again...so go and treat yourself.

Room Tip: We loved our corner room.

We were upgraded to a sea facing suite and had a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Our room was lovely and although the weather was too cool for us to enjoy the balcony, it would be wonderful in the summer. Although the location is not central, the only downside is the lack of taxis. The hotel offers car service which is very luxurious and the price reflects that. Presumably we could have had the hotel call a taxi but we did not press the concierge for that option and as a result, the car service was more expensive than our five star meal. Service at the hotel is excellent especially from the concierge. We purchased a large ceramic bowl from the gift shop on our last day and the concierge arranged to have it crated and shipped to our hotel in Johannesburg (our final destination in South Africa) so we could then carry it home since shipping to the USA would have been extremely expensive. Although there is a road in front of the hotel between the hotel and the ocean, it does not detract from the overall beauty of the hotel.

Dear Trip Advisor Reviewer,

We are delighted to receive a review from you indicating the enjoyable time you had at The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa.

At our beautiful hotel guests can enjoy the best of both worlds - the tranquillity and pristine natural beauty surrounding the hotel, with Table Mountain National Park and the Atlantic Ocean Marine Reserve as backdrop. The hourly, complimentary shuttle service between the Hotel, Camps Bay and the V&A Waterfront allows guests easy access to both Camps Bay and Waterfront Restaurants.

I was delighted to read that we delivered a service that met your expectations. We have a very dedicated Concierge team. Both Masood and Dale epitomize the service ethics and values that we pride ourselves in and work incredibly hard to consistently offer an exceptional experience to our guests.

Please note that the same level of care is taken to ensure a similar memorable experience at our other properties Bushman’s Kloof and The Oyster Box which form part of the wider Red Carnation Family.

The team at The Twelve Apostles looks forward to your next visit.

We got married here at the end of March and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. It's a wonderful place to get married, Stephanie can't do enough for you (she even ordered me some lunch on the day to make sure I would actually eat!!!) and the team that she recommends work seamlessly together. If you get married here, please do follow their advice for minister (Roger), florist (Gerrit), cake (Wade) hair and make-up (Talita). We used Yvette Gilbert for the photos and although we haven't received them yet, she was a joy to have there on the day. They are such a special team, they're all such nice people and all very good at what they do, we couldn't have been more impressed with any of them. The wedding was perfect and we couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Lauren the wedding intern even video'd the ceremony on our camera as my mum couldn't make it out for the wedding. The hotel itself is wonderful, we stayed in one of the honeymoon suites (202) and it was fabulous. It really is as nice as it looks in the photos. The walls are fabric lined with maybe a little padding, this not only looks lovely but means that you don't have to listen to your neighbours - the rooms are completely quiet. The views are of course fantastic and its a short (7 minute) drive to the centre of camps bay along the coast road, so the location is perfect, you get the convenience of local bars and restaurants without any of the noise. The hotel spa is a serene haven and the treatments are wonderful. The Azure restaurant is fantastic and the Leopard Bar terrace a wonderful place to watch the sun set. We can't recommend the 12A highly enough. Ok, it's not cheap, but you really do get what you pay for!

Room Tip: Honeymoon Suite - fabulous light and spacious room with it's own large patio (sun beds plus tabl...

January 2013 we spent perhaps our 15th visit to 12A. It is home away from home - nothing left to chance, complete perfection. Location is divine; so close to everything yet the beauty and peacefulness of nature at your doorstep. Two minutes drive from Camps Bay, 10 minute drive to Hout Bay and a short drive into the heart of Cape Town.
We cannot imagine a more idyllic place on earth - we have been to many fine places but 12 Apostles exceeds every time. So beautiful! Thank you.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely - mountain view, garden view and sea view - if you like to walk directly ou...

We stayed in January for a few days over the holiday season which can be quite hectic around Cape Town Twelve Apostles is a great antidote for this as it is on a quiet stretch of coast road literally across the road from the sea on a piece of land surrounded by National Park . Magnificent sunset views are to be had every evening from one of several terraces and pool location Attention to detail is stunning The rooms are very well equipped with lots of creature comforts and the beds are a delight The restaurants and wine list reflect the best of local ingredients fish, game and produce plus an extensive and thoughtful wine list Staff is genuinely helpful and eager to please reflecting good general management of the property The location is very quiet but two minutes away literally from fun bars and restaurants and beach (Camps Bay) The spa albeit quite pricey like the hotel is excellent and can be visited even if you are not staying there Two thumbs way up

Room Tip: Sea facing room to enjoy the sunsets and ocean views 24 x 7

This is the place to be if you are looking for rest, relaxation, scenery, food, service & view.
It has style, the staff will spoil you with service. The food is great , specially the breakfast.
Its right on the coast within stepping distance from the hotel.
They will ferry you to the shopping center and the restaurants at the pier by Helicopter.

Room Tip: Ask near the pool since it has a clear view of the ocean.
