We stayed overnight on the recommendation of a friend. A wonderful friendly family orientated atmosphere with excellent food and accommodation. We bought a few small Christmas presents, olive oil, soaps and skin cream. All were appreciated and loved by the recipants who also know and would reccommend this heavenly place.
Well done Olive Grove for this magical delight and long may it continue.

Beautiful, excellent service and friendly staff. Whether for a couple, family or alone you can't miss this OASIS in the middle of the Karoo!

wonderful homely place. All the staff and owners Ian and Sonia were very warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
We live in Franschhoek and got sick of the wind and rain so decided on the Karoo.
We certainly made the right choice staying at Olive Grove.
Sunshine and blue skies, just what we were looking for.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
The best thing about the place was the silence and the stars at night.
not to mention the warm hospitality.

I was traveling to Cape Town from Johannesburg with another family and children and found this website. I decided to stay overnight but was unsure as there where no reviews on the website at that time.

Boy was I surprised, this turned out to be the best accommodation of our 4 week trip. Not only where the rooms great, but the hospitality of our hosts and there staff was exceptional.

We decided to include our dinner as part of the booking. The meal was as good as any 5 star restaurant that I have eaten at , both in SA and Internationally. The chef is to be commended.

We had some children with us that had never seen sheep before, our hosts Ian and Sonja, arranged for them to bottle feed the lambs, making this an experience that they still talk about.

I was so impressed that we cancelled our original reservation, which we had at a different venue for our return trip, and returned to the olive farm instead.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. We stayed in both the suites and chalet.

Olive Grove is situated just off the beaten track. The lodge is situated in Olive Groves.
Around 17 kms outside Beaufort West on the way to Cape Town.
Definately worth the deviation.
Our cottage was clean and well kept and we were right next to the pool (which was very quiet).
We ordered karoo chops and boerewors to braai ourselves, green salad, potato bake and a garlic roll. The salads and bread were prepared for our arrival and were excellent.
I will most definately recommend this little lodge for anyone.
You can also purchase olive products on site from their groves.

We are still touring South Africa...from JoBurg to CT. But already now we know that our stay at Olive Grove was simply the best! We expected very little and got sooooo much.
Unmatching hospitality and amazing warm people you meet at Olive Grove. Thank you for volunteer baby sitting so that me and my husband could enjoy the lovely dinner and yummy breakfasts.

The highlight was 1hr Quad Biking in the dry River bed of the Karoo semi-desert. We saw soooo much game. I could not believe my eyes. Who would have thought to find all of that in the Karoo? Sorry not me.

Thank you once more for a lovely stay - we definetly come back!

We loved Olive Grove. Family run with great staff, clean rooms and relaxing fun. We enjoyed quad biking through the farm, seeing the different pets and animals on the farm. There is a meercat that is tame - children loved playing with him too. Food was perfect. A great surprise in Baeufort West area. Had a family of 4 stayed in 2 suites
