We decided on sushi after a hectic days shopping. The ambience from the outside was inviting. No one greeted us at the door nor ushered us to our table. We had to ask for menus. The restaurant was not packed, about 10 patrons. We realised that white people were being greeted, nd we could not understand whether they were regulars or it was just our color. As no one could advise us on the best dish, we decided to have the lunch buffet which seemed to cover most things we were interested in.
The sushi was a rice hump covered with a slither of fish. It had no taste nor evoked images of an ocean side resort. The rest of the menu was just bland. We only enjoyed the crabslaw and rice. The price was not worth the visit.
The lady boss asked us about our meal in passing, further fueling the color card.
The only saving grace was our waitress Tanya who had been working for 4 days and was eagre to please.
We did not enjoy ourselves at all. What a loss to the brand.
